Your wedding photographer

I get it. You don’t want sears portraits, you want candid, fun, lively photos that spread a smile across your face and teleport you right back to a moment. I’m right there with you, I’ve already teleported. Hi, hello, welcome to your nostalgic memories.

I focus on photojournalistic style photography. Do you know what that means? Because I had to look up the definition.

Photojournalism is the process of story telling using the medium of photography as your main story telling device. While a journalist will use their pen and paper to tell stories, a photojournalist will use their camera to capture the visual representation of a story.

Now you got it. It means candid, behind the scene, imagery. The ‘it’ moments that freeze time for infinity. The story told by camera. Your day recorded in still.

So yes, you will get those beautiful laughing shots. If you need a reminder, scroll up. That’s the money-shot I’m looking for at every wedding.

But, like in a marriage I like to set realistic-expectations. Honey, we are not models. We don’t know how to work a camera and that is A-OKAY. You don’t have to, but THAT’S where posing comes in.

You’re not anti-posing, you're anti-lame-ass photos.

Posing is a necessary and wonderful thing that has been tainted by ‘traditional’ old school wedding photography.

You can pose for a photo that makes you and your fine-ass partner look like Kim & Kanye without arching your back across a large white limo. See here:

See? Posed, but not corny.

Posed. Corny, but self-aware, and hilarious.

Photojournalistic. Adorable. Real. Moment.

Do you see what I mean? So yes, you want posed. You don’t want ALL posed, but you want to look beautiful, tall, thin, or whatever other influencer attributes you are looking for.

I also prompt, which is so fun. I make up really cute stories and scenarios for you to play out. I will discuss true crime with you in-between photos and by the time I’m done, you won’t realize that you’ve been working the camera without sweating your nerves off.

Relaxed, easy, wonderful.

That’s what you get when you hire me as your photographer. As for your family, I will love them as my own and make sure mom and dad walk away with a photo to frame in their living room; because as annoying as it is to you, it’s wonderful for them and like I’ve said, your photos are priceless.

We HIGHLY recommend Victoria, especially if you are looking for that personal touch of someone who really cares about what they are doing. We felt completely at ease with her behind the camera, and can’t thank her enough for making our special day one that we will now be able cherish for the rest of our lives!
